Weight Loss Plan

Losing weight is not easy but feasible. It involves lifestyle change, exercise, and dietary modifications. RPM1000 helps to track and set weight targets. RPM1000 has collaborated with the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to integrate a validated metabolic weight prediction model The result of this collaboration in V4.0 is a more complete and biological-driven system for planning and monitoring weight management program. The chart shows a summary of the current weight plan with a shaded area as a guide towards the target weight.

First select Plan Type: Weight Loss, Maintenance or Weight Gain. RPM1000 then auto-fills all the other parameters.


Adjust Starting Weight and Date.


Adjust Target Weight by Body Weight (% loss) or different Body Mass Index ranges. The Date will be automatically calculated in accordance with Target Weight Loss.


Set current activity level both at Work and Leisure. RPM1000 calculates Basal Metabolic Rate (Metabolism), calories from activity level (Lifestyle Burn) and daily energy expenditure (Total Burn).


RPM1000 recommends Physical Activity such as Cardio and Strength as determined by the American Heart Association (AHA) and World Health Organization (WHO). Daily Steps are suggested as a complement to weekly Cardio and Strength activities to support weight loss targets.


Food intake is calculated from the NIH model. Carbohydrates, sodium & water is also given.

Research studies have shown that BMI can be classified into ranges associated with health risk. A high BMI (> 25) is related with increased risk of health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and some forms of cancer. BMI is gender-specific for children & teens but not for adults.


The amount of body fat makes affects your health because a high body fat percentage is related to chronic diseases. Body Fat is gender, age & ethnicity-specific.

The waist size provides an indicator of abdominal fat. Excess fat around your and upper body (also described as an 'apple' body shape) is associated with greater health risk than fat located more in hip and thigh area (described as a 'pear' body shape). Waist size is gender & ethnicity-specific.


Keeping waist circumference to less than half the height is key to avoid an increased risk of obesity related diseases. This simple measurement is equally fair to tall and short people so it can be used across all countries and ethnic groups. Waist to height ratio is validated for children, adults & is gender-specific.

The risk of being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in the next 5 years is computed from a questionnaire developed by the Australian Government, Department of Health and Ageing. It is possible to decrease this risk by losing weight, having an active lifestyle, changing eating habits, and smoking cessation. Type 2 diabetes risk is gender, age & ethnicity specific.


The heart age is calculated using a model from the Framingham study. The result is used to find out how old or young our heart is in comparison to our chronological age. The heart age calculation is gender & age-specific.
